Small Round Self Watering / African Violet Pot

These handmade pots are gorgeous and make plant care SO easy! It's like the epitome of convenience, taking the guesswork out of watering frequency and amount.

Self watering pots are not new. They have been around a long time, the clay version anyway. There is a reason they are a classic design with superior results. Earthenware clay is porous, so when it comes into contact with water it is absorbed. Here is the really cool part, when the plant’s roots draw up moisture from the soil, the soil becomes drier, which creates tension, which pulls more water through the ceramic into the soil to keep your plant hydrated for days.

 Enjoy our fantastic two piece design; the outside has a durable glaze finish, the insert has a water permeable surface, providing constant moisture to the soil and roots. The base holds enough water to keep your beloved plant hydrated for about a week+ (depending on climate).

The insert has a 2.75 inch wide planting area that is 3.25 inches deep and rests comfortably in the base. The base is approximately 4.5 inches wide. The entire assembly is about 4 inches tall. We also offer larger sizes of the same design.

Hand Made

Made exclusively in our Mudroom studio, every item is handcrafted, painted, and glazed by our two-person team. Slight variations exist, but we try to keep our photos updated so you should have a good idea of what to expect.

Eco-friendly

We mix our own clay, so we know it is lead free and only use non-toxic, food safe glazes on our products. Our quality products are made to last for years! And, we use recyclable packing materials as much as possible, but we also reuse some supplies we receive such as packing peanuts and air bubbles.

Unless otherwise stated, items will ship in 1-3 days. Everything listed is finished and ready to ship, we just need a day or two to get it packed up.
